This is a discussion about 照り焼き

Flash frying?

The "teri" part of Teriyaki refers to the caramelised glaze of the marinaded meat once cooked. How would one translate "flash frying", which would probably use the same verb pair?

I'm not sure why you'd assume that the construction would be the same. The "flash" in "flash-fry" refers to the fact that it's done quickly, not to light...
