It depends on if you wanna say "only I...." like no one else plays football (then place だけ right after watashi), or "only football" like You dont play anything else (then place it right after Soccer).

@Lyza if it's indeed only him who plays soccer, the sentence should also use the particle "が" instead of "は".

が's commonly known as the subject-particle, isn't it?
thus, when the word preceding だけ is the subject of the sentence it would ask for a が in natural constructions

to reply.
